  • Khadijah Queen is a poet, writer, and professor based in the Denver, Colorado area. Her play Non-Sequitur won the Leslie Scalapino Award for Innovative Performance Writing and was staged by theater company The Relationship at Theaterlab NYC in December

Her fifth book, I'm So Fine, which originally appeared as a chapbook (Sibling Rivalry ),[1] was a finalist for the National Poetry Series.

Writer and critic Hanif Abdurraqib reviewed Queen's I'm So Fine for The New Yorker, calling it "a testimony to the burdens that come, in this world, with existing in a woman’s body." Abdurraqib writes, "The book is an investigation of celebrity culture and toxic masculinity that moves at a lyrical sprint, stuffed with characters and movements"[2] The book challenges systems of genre, as it is a collection of prose poems, which can be read as a nonfiction, lyrical essay as well.

Queen has poems and prose appear in Fence, Tin House, Brooklyn Magazine, American
